Descrizione

La dimensione della calotta varia tra 22 mm e 45 mm. La conchiglia è coronata. Il suo colore è bianco giallastro, marmorizzato e striato di castagno, con minute linee rotanti di granuli spesso un po' articolati rosso-marroni e bianchi. Come tutte le specie del genere Conus, queste lumache sono predatrici e velenose. Sono in grado di "pungere" gli esseri umani, quindi quelli vivi dovrebbero essere maneggiati con attenzione o evitati.

Diffusione

Questa specie marina è presente nella regione indo-pacifica: Filippine, Nuova Guinea, Nuova Caledonia, Vanuatu le Isole Salomone e Fiji.
